In the April 07 issue of 16bits, Terry Bibo gave an overview of a portable application program Ceedo. Another product was recently reviewed at the Northside Coffee and Chat group. Here, Terry described PortableApps, for use with flash drives.  Programs like PortableApps, installed on a flash drive, can substitute for some laptop functions, provided you can find a host computer to plug into.  There is plenty of information about free portable programs on the web.
