Instructions for Paint Shop Pro.
If you want to make a tutorial, never use the language below:

approach here would be to create the icon-like images from a dingbat,
setting the text color to white. Place the text above a layer filled
with the main color for the button. Position/rotate the dingbat as you
like. Convert the text to raster, then add a drop shadow that's a
darker version of your background color. On a layer above the text
layer, apply Balls and Bubbles at its default settings but make the
ball slightly smaller than what you want for your button. Then zap the
ball with Warp at its default settings. Get rid of the background color
that falls outside the button, and there you are.
