PSP Scripts

Scripts are the documents that one uses to write graphic and photograph documents with Paint Shop Pro. There are a few from the Internet mentioned below. Some are free for use, but others cost.

But if you have any version of Paint Shop Pro larger than 6, you can record and save a script to stop you from having to manipulate a file to achieve the same goal. It's a little like batch files are for DOS.

Below is some discussion from Paint Shop Pro forums:

They both work in 8.10 and upward. When you peeked at the code, you
may have seen where it said

'Author': 'Sol Adler with steps from David',

I mentioned the editing to give credit to both Sol and David.

These scripts were written by a user just like you and me; as far as
I know it was during the PSP 8 public beta. Sol Adler, to my
knowledge, hasn't posted for a very long time, and if he had a site
hosting his scripts, I don't remember.

This selection is far from complete, but most of the listed pages
will direct you to more (of their) scripts.

Something else you might enjoy doing, if you haven't already, is

Things are marginally different in 8, but it will give you a very global idea of what it's about.

I only have three of her scripts, but I'm guessing others have them
all. It might be worthwhile asking her if someone else can host
them, as they did seem rather popular.

Hey guys and gals!

I just took the site PSP Art Resources down yesterday or the day before.
I have just not had the time or wherewithal to update it since late in
the version 9 beta testing.  I personally get annoyed when I am not up
to date. I have been quite disheartened since some mouse
problems I had with ver 9 and up were ignored and since the last post
that I made, which was a substantial post, was botted out and never
was publish ed. I then decided to dump the whole thing. I can host
the goodies, but I just want to let them free, they are only procedures
which any one of you can do alone.  You can grab all that you want for

Some of them may be redundant, some may not work in your version.
Remember that the text scripts require you to use vector text.  Some
will covert the vector text to a shape and some won't, you will need to
try them and see where you go.  I have also added any other stuff,
including any patterns that you may need that I forgot to include in the
scripts.  I would just use teleport or something to DL the whole
shebang.  I do not want credit or otherwise for this stuff, I just don't
care, we all have our own consciences.  Just about everything I have
ever made was made for sharing with others unless commissioned
otherwise. Oh - speaking of that, any or all of my PSP and Elephants/mud
hut stuff that was published in Digital Photography Techniques is now
mine per contract. I have most on disks around here someplace in PDF
format. I will see if I can find them and post within that directory.

Some stuff is still going up, stuff that I have not zipped or really
shared out of lack of available time. Not posting this in the general
group so the site doesn't slug out on you and get all stuffed up.

Yep, what something to really power up your PSP, I've collected over 150
(it's 174 to be precise) scripts that I use day in, day out to add loads of
functionality to PSP.

These include borders, treatments, monochrome conversions, photo toning,
special effects from the sublime to the surreal.

In beta-testing tradition I've sort of roughly checked them against PSP X
and XI, but if you have any problems, then just give me a shout and I'll
sort you out.

So, 150+ scripts for just a fiver, now that's a good deal will give you lots
more to play with.
