The PCUG passed another milestone this month with the passage of another Annual General Meeting. John Saxon has spelled out the details and they make interesting reading. What John does not reveal is the outcome of the meeting. All the motions that were put to the assembled members were passed unanimously - possibly a world first, and a new committee was elected unopposed.
That committee has big boots to fill. The changes to the group over the past twelve months have been substantial, and much of the work planned has yet to be finalised. We have a strong complement of volunteers to maintain the pace set this year, but we do not have a president. John has set the pace and provided an example of the caliber of individual we need to continue the momentum he has established. Let's hope that the first meeting of the new committee produces an enthusiastic volunteer. We owe John a big vote of thanks for his effort and dedication over the past twelve months.
Backups are in the news again, and you will find a wealth of information and advice in Mike Boesen's article. I recommend that all of you readers archive this article and use it as your standard reference material for the future.
