GoogleEarth
4 is on all the machines, and flying around local land marks in 3D is a
lot of fun. Its a buzz. Please drop in and enjoy
if the room is not taken up with other activities 10-2, 7 days a
week. CDs and workbooks for Microsoft Ultimate Potential
materials are in/on the grey cabinet and all machines are hooked up to
the net, so please feel welcome to come and play. It's your
training room for your use.
The
training room will soon have a
quality sound system for the projection of multimedia and audiovisual.
A
projector mount has been installed in the ceiling.
A paperless feedback system for assessing resident and visiting trainer
performance (from the button
on the training web site) works elsewhere but we are still figuring
out how to configure it in the training room so that it can send, but
not receive. Contract arrangements and an administrative
structure for providing a training/hire service to
Not-for-Profits will be finalised before July 1 this year. Marketing
for that function will go out soon after.
While some rules and
regulations are on the screens a formal document for rules and
regulations will appear on the wall after the next major work, which
involves a relocation of the server to the server/comms room and
conduit and cabling of the network in a plan to be proposed by the new
LAN Manager, Allan Hepworth.
Recent training of staffers on 1st June was very
