I have just
browsed the June newsletter and read your item on EditPad Lite.
I
have been using this now for several years and am a great believer in
it. I was thus a little surprised to see both "OS: Windows
9x/ME/NT4/2000/XP" (no mention of Vista) and "download v 5.3.0
(2004-03-04) (SetupEditPadLite.exe) (973 KB)".
I would normally
ignore any "new" program which is over three years old and fear that
other readers may do the same. I have been using v 6.x for over a
year and upgraded to v 6.3.0 a week or two ago.
While the
program has grown in size, it is still under development and is keeping
up with modern needs. I recommend it to anyone who cannot bear notepad
any longer. It is the best replacement I have used.
The current
(mid-July) info on the program is:-
"EditPad Lite 6.3.0 -
Released 26 June 2007
The size of the
package is 3.1 MB. EditPad Lite works with Windows NT4, 98,
2000, ME, XP and
Vista."
