Good Freeware Download Sites

I'm out of touch and need help in finding a few good free download sites. What happens when I search for them is I get a bunch of stuff that ends up being "free trial-then pay", but not true free downloads.
 
And, by good, I mean sites that have a variety of good free programs and utilities.
