Keyboard Trouble
by Trevor Frew
The application
I use for producing hypertext pages for Sixteen Bits, and my personal
group of pages, is NVU.EXE. It is freeware, but often when typing in a
link to existing text, wrong characters will appear.
Today's example
is when I typed in INDEX and the link for that is index.htm. The
characters from the keyboard were cbe.qxdym That makes no sense at all!
I no longer use
FrontPage for producing hypertext pages because I found that after
using NVU the same thing would happen with FrontPage. It seems
that the freeware application had upset my keyboard.
After the cbe.qxdym incident, I used Word for document writing and that was OK. I'm puzzled!
Perhaps one really shouldn't use version 1 of software!
